Fear strikes through you .you try and remember the quote ,but then fear eats it away.ok so here are a few thing I try to keep my mind off the fear  and keep it away. I write letters ,emails, send him packages. I keep busy at school, home helping my moon the farm and do any projects theyr have for. Me at Uso.Being a military  brat is challanging.I get stronger everyday .what do you do to help keep the fear away

  1. Nate…what great strategies! I am not a military child, but I can tell you how I deal with fear. I usually rely on the support of friends and I talk things out. Or, I make things! :). Great blog Nate!

  2. Of course you know who said, There is nothing to fear, but feat itself”. . . Franklin D. Roosevelt. Do you know why he said it? Have you ever been to his memorial in Washington DC? That is one of my favorite spots to visit. FDR is one of my favorite presidents. He and Eleanor are facinating. My favorite president is actually Thomas Jefferson and next to him I really admire John F. Kennedy. What about you. . .who is your favorite?

  3. Ms. Dian, I did know that I really like a lot of the quotes from MLK Jr. I know he wasnt a president but he had some great things to say .My mom had Me do a research paper about him in First grade! Actually I think I will write my blog about him and his words.one of my favorite’s is “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: ‘What are you doing for others?'”

I live in Maryland. I do a whole lot of moving since my dad is in the military. You are correct, I have a brother and sister who are 2 years younger than me. William and Tinna. Did you know that Tinna’s name is a type of rock? It’s Icelandic. I also speak a little German. I have a small memory of you. When I saw your picture you looked familliar. My dad is looking for a new job somewhere in Pennsylvania, Virginia, or I don’t know where! 🙂

P.S: As you can see, I like to write, too! 🙂

  4. I would talk to my friends about it. When I was about 7 my dad was on an aircraft carrier ship for about 7 months. I would write in my Do-it-yourself diary of a wimpy kid journal. It felt like forever until my dad got home.
