Everyone can make a difference Even if you are young!

Tonight I watched the video of the MCOY 12 awards ceremony. A huge thanks you to Ms. June. I loved the package you sent me! And it was perfect timing because my Dada will be home in low double digits.
While I was watching It ,the Chairman of the Joint chiefs, reminded me of one of my earlier blogs Even though we are young we can make a difference. So ,I started thinking of ways to challenge military kids ,well I guess everyone ,to make a difference. One of the ideas I had was to have a lemonade stand or bake sale. Then take all the proceeds and donate to an organization like Operation Homefront , USO,Gary Sinise or an organization that helps support our troops. My brother Robert , Is helpng Isabelle and me organize a big lemonade sale here in San Diego for the Warrior and wound care part of USO. We got the idea from a little girl named Elle. Elle raised 92 dollars for the USO By having a lemonade sale. It seems like something small we can do and Doing a stand is really easy , you get to meet new people and you get help our heros too.It doesn’t cost too much to start and you really don’t need too much help.
So take an afternoon Out of this summer and make a difference. Make sure you send me pictures! Have fun. And remember any idea you have is awesometacular enough to make a difference.

  1. Dear Nate,

My husband is Lt. Longo, he is the Chief Engineer on the USS Elrod. I learned about you after the ship came home and he told me about all the wonderful things you are doing. I have been really busy unpacking boxes as we just moved here to VA to be with him, but today I was on the ship’s FB page and saw address for your blog. I decided that I would take a break from my unpacking and take a peek at what you are up to. I want to tell you how incredibly impressed I am at your dedication to serving others. You are incredibly inspirational and have a tremendous gift for communicating your thoughts and ideas to others. Many of your words moved me to tears and stirred my heart! I know that I don’t know you personally, but I want you to know how proud I am of you and all of your hard work. I will pray for you that you are able to continue on in your endeavors as they truly can change the world. So good luck and may God always greatly bless you and your family Nate the Great!!!

    Sincerely,

    Mrs. Dana Longo
